Iron Wash

Our tan, granulated low foam ferrous metal cleaner and stripper for spray cabinet washers. Will clean, degrease, strip paint, remove rust and dissolve carbonized soils on hard or ferrous metals. Used to remove grease, oil and grime from engine blocks, heads, compressors and any other hard metal surface that is being prepared for rebuilding, painting and the like. Starting dilution rate is ¼ to ½ pound per gallon of HOT water. To add chemical, make a slurry in a container and then add the mixture to the water, slightly agitating it until it is in solution. Heat the water to 180 to 200 degrees F. for 10 to 20 minute cycles. Can also be used as a hot vat cleaner with air agitation at a starting dilution of ½ pound per gallon. Do not use for aluminum, galvanized or other soft metals as damage could occur
